TAILOR-MADE JOURNEYS

A tailor-made journey starts with you.

Your story comes before your itinerary.

Before talking about destinations, I want to understand what brought you to Chile and what you hope to experience here.

Then, together, we look at what makes sense. The essentials may remain — Torres del Paine and the Atacama Desert are essentials for a reason — but that doesn’t mean you have to experience them like everyone else.

A private guide at the right moment. A different starting point to avoid the crowds. A bike ride instead of another day in a vehicle. An extra night in Torres del Paine to give yourself a better chance of seeing the mountains in clear weather.

And sometimes, the best choice is to go further off the beaten path: a road trip through Araucanía, a few days among the vineyards of Casablanca, or time by the ocean in Pichilemu.

I also believe in knowing when to say no. Chile is vast, and trying to see everything can mean experiencing very little. My role is to help you make the right choices — for your time, your budget, your interests and the people travelling with you.

Built around you, down to the details.

There is no standard way to experience Chile. The destinations I recommend, the places you stay, the way you move around and the experiences you choose all depend on what you tell me.

Where you go

Your interests shape the map. Love hiking and mountains? Araucanía might be the right fit. Looking for vast landscapes without the crowds of San Pedro? I might suggest Chile’s far north instead. And if you have only a few days for a road trip, I may point you towards Puelo rather than sending you across the country just to tick a box.

Where you stay

I start by asking a simple question: what matters to you when you choose a place to stay? Location, a beautiful view, a great restaurant, personal service, atmosphere? I work mainly with small, independently run properties, chosen for their character and the experience they offer.

How you travel

There is no single right way to get around Chile. Depending on the region and your preferences, you might travel by rental car, private guide, small-group excursion or transfer. I also consider your comfort with driving, your budget and the practical realities of each region.

What you experience

I listen for the things that make you curious. Wine lovers might discover a vineyard at high altitude in the Atacama. Photography enthusiasts might explore the desert under the stars or join a wildlife experience. Sporty travellers might climb a 5,600-metre volcano or spend several nights hiking in Conguillío National Park.

The details come from you

The details come from you.

How you pace it

Chile is a country where trying to see everything can quickly become exhausting. As a general rule, I allow around one week per major destination — not counting Santiago and Valparaíso — and build from there depending on your available time and energy.

The goal isn’t to fit more into your trip. It’s to make every part of it count.

More than an itinerary.

A great journey isn’t built from ratings and recommendations alone. Behind every hotel, guide and experience I select, there is a reason why I believe it is right for you.

My network is constantly evolving. I regularly travel throughout Chile to revisit places, test experiences and discover new ones. I also rely on the feedback of my travellers: a hotel can change, a new team can transform an experience, a once-quiet street can become busy, and sometimes even the room you stay in makes all the difference.

The same goes for guides. Beyond language and expertise, I consider personality and interests. Someone passionate about history may not connect with the same guide as someone fascinated by plants, architecture or contemporary Chile.

And then there are the details that rarely appear in a guidebook: which neighbourhood makes the most sense, which room to request, when to leave to avoid the crowds, how long a journey really takes, or when an apparently less convenient option actually makes for a better experience.

These choices may seem small individually. Together, they can completely change the way a journey feels.

I don’t just build itineraries.
I help you make the right choices.

Everything your journey needs.

Once your itinerary has been designed, I take care of bringing it all together — so you don’t have to coordinate dozens of bookings yourself.

From carefully selected accommodation to domestic flights, rental cars and transfers, I arrange the logistics that keep your journey running smoothly.

Depending on your itinerary, I can also arrange private guides, small-group excursions, outdoor adventures, navigations, wildlife experiences, cultural encounters, wine and gastronomic experiences — and restaurant reservations when possible.

And your international flights?

International flights are not booked through Alma Sur, but I can help you identify the most suitable options before you purchase them, making sure they work seamlessly with your itinerary.

For European travellers, I can also recommend travel insurance options when needed.

One journey, thoughtfully designed and coordinated from beginning to end.

Personal, from beginning to end

I personally design your journey and remain your point of contact throughout the entire process. The better I understand you, the better I can shape a journey that truly fits.

Advice, not just bookings

I won’t simply book what you ask for. If I believe there is a better option — a different route, a better time to visit, another experience or a destination that suits you more — I’ll tell you why.

Local knowledge that stays current

Places change, and so do the people behind them. Through regular travels, trusted local partners and feedback from my travellers, I continuously reassess the places and experiences I recommend.

Details that make a difference

The right room. The right neighbourhood. The best time to leave. A realistic driving time. An extra night where it matters. Small decisions can make a remarkable difference to your journey.

Support when it matters

From your first ideas to your time on the road, I’m here when you need me. And if something unexpected happens while you’re travelling, you have someone in Chile to turn to.

A journey that stays with you.

My hope is simple: that you return home talking about Chile.

About its contrasts. The people you met. The guides who helped you understand the country beyond its landscapes. The places you stayed. The moment you reached a summit, rode through an extraordinary landscape, encountered wildlife in its natural habitat, or simply stopped somewhere and thought: I’ll remember this forever.

And perhaps, somewhere in those stories, you’ll remember a piece of advice that made you experience a place differently.

Because ultimately, the best journey isn’t the one that fits the most in.

It’s the one that stays with you.

Tell me about your trip.
