Welcome to Alma Sur Travel Agency.
These Terms & Conditions explain how we work, how personalised travel arrangements are proposed and booked, and the general conditions applicable to our services.
We believe that a well-designed journey begins with clear communication and mutual understanding. Please read these terms carefully before confirming a booking.
Important: Specific booking conditions, cancellation charges and other contractual details will be provided in writing before you commit to a journey. Nothing in these terms limits any mandatory rights available to travellers under applicable law.
Alma Sur Travel Agency SpA is a travel agency established in Chile, specialising in the design and organisation of tailor-made journeys throughout Chile.
Legal company name: Alma Sur Travel Agency SpA
Legal structure: Sociedad por Acciones (SpA)

Registered address: Antonio Varas 175, Office 402, Providencia, Santiago, Chile

Our services may include accommodation, domestic flights, ground transportation, rental cars, guided excursions, activities and other arrangements tailored to each traveller.
Where geographically appropriate, we may also arrange extensions to neighbouring countries, subject to the services and conditions confirmed in the individual travel agreement.
Every journey organised by Alma Sur is designed around the traveller’s interests, preferences, available time and budget.
Our planning process generally includes:
• An initial consultation to understand your travel plans.
• Preparation of a personalised travel proposal.
• Discussion and refinement of the proposed itinerary.
• Written confirmation of the agreed arrangements and price.
• Reservations and coordination of the selected services.
• Provision of travel documents and practical information.
• Assistance before and during the journey.
The initial consultation and first personalised proposal are offered free of charge and without an obligation to book.
Before booking confirmation, itinerary revisions are not subject to a fixed numerical limit. We work collaboratively to refine the proposed journey, within reasonable practical and operational limits.
Submitting an enquiry or receiving a proposal does not create a confirmed travel booking.
Each personalised proposal will describe the intended itinerary and the services included in the quoted price.
Prices depend on factors such as travel dates, destinations, accommodation standards, number of travellers, transport arrangements and availability.
Unless expressly stated otherwise, prices displayed on our website are indicative and do not constitute binding offers.
Before booking, travellers will receive written information about:
• The proposed itinerary and travel dates.
• The main services included.
• The total price and applicable currency.
• Known additional charges and exclusions.
• Payment requirements.
• Applicable cancellation and modification conditions.
• Any material requirements or restrictions relevant to the proposed journey.
Prices and availability may change before a booking is confirmed. Any updated proposal will be communicated before the traveller is asked to accept it.
Once a contract is concluded, any price adjustment must comply with the agreed contractual terms and applicable mandatory law.
A booking is confirmed when the traveller has accepted the final written travel proposal and applicable booking conditions, the required deposit has been received, and Alma Sur has issued written confirmation of the booking.
Where supplier reservations remain subject to confirmation, this will be clearly communicated.
If a proposed service becomes unavailable before confirmation, Alma Sur will discuss suitable alternatives or any necessary changes before proceeding.
The confirmed itinerary, agreed services, price, payment schedule and applicable booking conditions form part of the travel agreement.
Our standard payment schedule is:
Deposit: 30% of the agreed travel price, payable to confirm the journey and begin the reservation process.
Remaining balance: 70% of the agreed travel price, due 90 days before the scheduled start of the journey.
The accepted travel proposal or booking agreement will specify the payment currency, payment method, payment instructions and any applicable charges.
For bookings made less than 90 days before departure, the payment schedule will be specified before confirmation and may require payment of the full balance at booking.
If a payment is not received by its agreed due date, Alma Sur will contact the traveller to clarify the situation and explain the available options. Any consequences of non-payment will be governed by the agreed booking conditions and applicable law.
We understand that travel plans may evolve.
Before confirmation, we are happy to discuss adjustments to the proposed itinerary.
After booking confirmation, requests to change travel dates, accommodation, activities, transport or other services will be assessed according to availability and the conditions applicable to the booked arrangements.
Some changes may result in additional costs, supplier charges or differences in service prices.
Where possible, we will explain the available options and relevant costs before making a requested change.
No modification is guaranteed until it has been accepted and confirmed in writing.
If you need to cancel your journey, please notify Alma Sur in writing as soon as possible.
The applicable cancellation conditions, including any cancellation charges and non-refundable amounts, will be explained before booking confirmation and included in the relevant travel agreement.
The amount refundable, if any, will depend on the agreed contractual terms, the arrangements booked, the timing and circumstances of cancellation, and applicable mandatory law.
Where relevant, we will help you understand the available alternatives, including possible date changes or other arrangements.
Nothing in these terms excludes any statutory cancellation or refund rights that apply to your booking.
Occasionally, circumstances may require changes to planned travel arrangements.
These may include operational restrictions, supplier availability, transport disruptions, weather conditions or other events affecting the agreed itinerary.
If a material change becomes necessary, Alma Sur will inform the traveller as soon as reasonably possible and explain the available options.
Depending on the circumstances and applicable law, these may include an appropriate alternative arrangement, acceptance of a proposed change, cancellation or a refund.
Any material change to the agreed travel contract will be handled in accordance with applicable contractual and mandatory legal requirements.
Where domestic flights are required as part of an itinerary organised by Alma Sur, we arrange and coordinate those flights alongside the other travel services.
This helps us manage connections between flights, accommodation, transfers and activities.
Domestic flight schedules may change. If a change affects the itinerary, we will assist in coordinating appropriate adjustments and explain any relevant implications.
Alma Sur does not book international flights to or from Chile.
We may provide general advice about suitable international arrival and departure options, but travellers are responsible for purchasing their international flights unless a separate written agreement expressly provides otherwise.
We recommend discussing international flight plans with us before purchasing tickets, particularly when connections with domestic flights or other travel services are involved.
Applicable passenger rights and the responsibilities of the relevant travel providers remain unaffected.
Travellers are responsible for ensuring they hold valid passports and any required visas, travel authorisations or other documents for their journey.
Entry, transit and health requirements may vary according to nationality, residence, destination and personal circumstances.
Alma Sur will provide relevant practical information and guidance where possible, but travellers should verify current official requirements before departure.
Travellers must provide accurate information reasonably necessary to arrange their booked services.
Where identification or passport details are required by a provider, we will explain what information is needed and how it will be used.
Chile offers a wide variety of landscapes and experiences, from relaxed scenic visits to demanding hikes and activities at high altitude.
We encourage travellers to share relevant preferences, accessibility requirements or physical limitations during the planning process so that suitable arrangements can be considered.
Where specific accessibility arrangements are requested, we will assess available options with the relevant providers and communicate any material limitations.
Travellers should seek appropriate medical advice before undertaking activities that may present particular health risks.
Any personal or sensitive information shared with Alma Sur will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable data protection requirements.
We strongly recommend obtaining comprehensive travel insurance appropriate to the itinerary.
Depending on the journey, relevant coverage may include:
• Emergency medical expenses.
• Medical evacuation and repatriation.
• Trip cancellation and interruption.
• Travel delays and missed connections.
• Baggage and personal belongings.
• Adventure activities or high-altitude experiences, where applicable.
Travellers should carefully review their policy’s coverage, exclusions and conditions.
Where insurance is mandatory for a particular destination or activity, the relevant requirements will be communicated when identified and should be verified before departure.
Alma Sur works with accommodation providers, guides, transport companies and other local partners to organise personalised travel experiences.
The confirmed itinerary will describe the agreed services and any material conditions or restrictions.
Certain activities may be subject to weather conditions, safety requirements, minimum participation numbers or other operational limitations.
If a booked service cannot be provided as agreed, Alma Sur will assist the traveller and address the situation in accordance with the travel contract and applicable law.
The involvement of an independent service provider does not remove any legal responsibility that Alma Sur may have as a travel organiser or contracting party.
Alma Sur provides assistance throughout the journey.
For emergencies directly affecting the travel arrangements organised by Alma Sur, travellers will have access to emergency assistance 24 hours a day, seven days a week during their trip.
For general questions and non-urgent requests, our usual office hours are:
Monday to Friday, 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Chile time.
Emergency contact details and practical instructions will be provided before departure.
Alma Sur’s travel assistance does not replace emergency medical services, public emergency authorities or the services provided by an insurance company’s assistance network.
Travel arrangements may be affected by events beyond the reasonable control of travellers, Alma Sur or the relevant providers.
Examples may include severe weather, natural disasters, transport interruptions, public health measures or restrictions imposed by authorities.
In these situations, we will communicate with affected travellers, assess available alternatives and provide assistance as required by the travel agreement and applicable law.
The consequences of such events, including any rights to cancellation, refunds or alternative arrangements, will be determined by the circumstances and applicable legal requirements.
Nothing in these terms removes rights that travellers may have under mandatory consumer protection or package travel legislation.
If you experience a problem with a booked service, please contact Alma Sur as soon as reasonably possible so that we can assess the situation and seek an appropriate solution.
We encourage travellers to report concerns during the journey whenever possible, particularly when timely action could help resolve the issue.
If a concern remains unresolved, travellers may submit a written complaint to:
camille@almasur-travelagency.com
We will acknowledge and review complaints and respond within any time limits required by applicable law.
Travellers retain the right to use any competent consumer protection authority, dispute resolution process or legal remedy available to them.
